September - Four Day Trip to New York City

September 14-17, 2006 – 4 days

          Parishioners of   North American Martyrs Church  took a memorable four-day, three-night motorcoach journey to New York City .  They went to Mass at St. Patrick’s Cathedral and then enjoyed a guided tour of this spectacular Gothic Church .  They visited Ground Zero to view the former site of the World Trade Towers .  Then off to Battery Park by ferry to see the Statue of Liberty National Monument and Ellis Island .  They enjoyed a fully guided sightseeing tour of Manhattan featuring Greenwich Village , Little Italy, Chinatown , Central Park , Rockefeller Plaza and the Empire State Building .  In Upper Manhattan, they  visited the Shrine of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini and strolled through the Cloisters Museum .  They even saw a Broadway Musical show on Times Square .  A special stop was also made at the Basilica Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Newark , New Jersey .
