Dolly's cream cheese pound cake
 
3 sticks of butter or margarine
8oz.cream cheese
3 cups sugar
11/2 tsp.vanilla
6 large eggs
3 cups of cake flour(most don't need to be sifted now)
 
Preheat oven to 325 degrees
Cream butter/margarine,cream cheese until light and fluffy. Add vanilla.
Add  eggs one egg at a time beating well after each addition. Stir in flour. spoon into a greased 10 inch tube pan or bundt pan. Bake 1 to 11/2 hours until tester comes out clean.
 
Note:
Get all your ingredients to room temperature before you begin. Then make sure to beat well after the addition of each egg to achieve proper texture.
