Hamburg-Green Noodles

 

1 bag green noodles

1 ½ lb ground round

1 t butter

2 – 8 oz can tomato sauce with mushrooms

½ cup sour cream

1 cup chopped onions

½ cup chopped green pepper

1 cup chopped Monterey Jack cheese (hot pepper cheese)

 

Cook & drain noodles.  Brown meat in butter, stir in tomato sauce.  Combine cheese, sour cream, onion & green pepper.  Butter 9 x 13 pan.  Layer the pan;  ½ noodles, then ½ meat, then all cheese mixture, remaining noodles and finally remainder of meat.  Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.  6-8 servings.  Freezes well.
