Lemon Torte Recipe

 

Layer !

cup flour

3/4 cup of butter or margarine

1/2 cup finely chopped nuts.

 

Cut batter into flour until crumbly.Add and stir in flour.Pat mixture into 13x9 pan. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes. Let cool

 

Layer 2

 

1 8 oz. cream cheese (let soften)

1 1/2 cup confectionary sugar

1 1/2 cup cool whip

 

Mix cream cheese in sugar and add cool whip untill smooth.Spread into cooled crust.

 

Layer 3

 

3 cups cold milk

2 small boxes of lemon pudding (or choclate or any kind -follow directions for pudding on the boxes. Can use instant or cooked kind.

 

Put onto cream cheese mixture in pan.

 

Layer 4

1 oz cool whip.

Put on top of lemon mixture in pan. Sprinkle with nuts.

 

If you want to make a day in advance. Make layers  and keep separate in refrig. until day of serving...

 

*I  sometimes use two small square pans 7-or 8 inch and do two kinds . Usually choc. and the lemon...Pistachio is another choice...
