MOM COOK’S GERMAN APPLE CAKE

3 eggs

1 3/4 c. sugar

1 c. cooking oil

1 tsp. vanilla

 

2 c. all purpose flour

1 tsp. soda

1 tsp. cinnamon

3/4 tsp salt

1 c. chopped nuts

4-6 tart apples-chopped

 

Blend eggs, sugar, oil and vanilla.

 

Mix dry ingredients together and stir into the above mixture.

 

Bake in lightly greased 13 x 9 pan, 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.

 

Cool and cut into squares. Serve with cool whip, sprinkle with powdered sugar, or frost with Cream Cheese frosting.
