Cabbage and Carrots
2 teaspoons light
olive oil
1 cup sliced
carrots
1 medium head of
green cabbage., sliced into 1/2-inch-shreds
1 green pepper cut
into thin bite-size strips
2 tablespoons water
1/2-teaspoon salt
1/teaspoon ground
black pepper
1. In a 4 -quart
Dutch oven , heat oil over medium heat.Add carrots cook for 5 minutes.stirring
often
2.Add cabbage, sweet
pepper ,water salt and pepper.Cook covered, for 10-15 minutes or until the
cabbage and sweet pepper are tender , stirring occasionally. Makes a 8(1/2-cup)
side dish servings.
Green cabbage or
greens( the color of money) promises prosperity.The carrots coins can only
sweeten the purse.
A healthy side
