Stuffed Mushrooms

 

Mushrooms:  Choose large mushrooms and immerse in cold water and clean and dry well.

 

Filling:             ½ lb. sweet or hot sausage (loose)

                        ½-1/4 cup dry Pepperidge Farm stuffing mix

                        1 egg, beaten

 

Mix all ingredients; roll into ball and place in prepared mushrooms on cookie sheet.  Bake at 400 degrees for about 10-15 minutes or until done.

 

Option:  deviled ham or crabmeat stuffing. (Add 1 Tbsp lemon juice & ¼ cup mayonnaise.)
