Greetings!
(September 4/5,
2010)
In every age, O Lord, you have been
our refuge.
Who can know God's counsel,
or who can conceive what the LORD intends? For the deliberations of mortals are timid, and unsure are our plans. For the corruptible body burdens the soul and the earthen shelter weighs down the mind that has many concerns. And scarce do we guess the things on earth, and what is within our grasp we find with difficulty; but when things are in heaven, who can search them out? Or who ever knew your counsel, except you had given wisdom and sent your holy spirit from on high? And thus were the paths of those on earth made straight. ************

With its record-setting success and popular demand, a new exhibition makes its debut in 2010, presenting a collection of more than 200 extraordinary artworks and objects of historical significance. More than half of this new collection is comprised of objects which have never come to North America before, including many never seen outside of Rome. Works by Michelangelo. Bernini. Giotto. Guercino. Artwork by 15th century masters. Objects used in the painting of the Sistine Chapel and work on the Basilica. Relics of Saint Peter and Saint Paul. Objects from the first century, including artifacts discovered at the tomb of Saint Peter. Personal items of Pope John Paul II. And much more. It’s an unforgettable experience you won’t want to miss!
